Elements of The Strokes, Cloud Cult, The Polyphonic Spree, and Edward Sharpe all seem to shine through in this celebratory song by Los Angeles CA's The Evening Guests. "Wouldn't You Like Yo Know" is dynamite, fusing some light Garage Rock elements with a sort of holy fervor that makes you want to stand up and cheer (but hell, brass instruments ALWAYS make me want to do that). Still, I really can't praise enough the brilliant songwriting capabilities of this band, or the way they blend all their components together to pull at your heartstrings here and there, before lifting you up in a final joyous embrace. This is the kind of live show I would absolutely go out of my way to see. I hope they brought a few confetti cannons.
