A review of "No Destination" by Cesar Alamagordo

"No Destination" has kind of a laid-back, summer afternoon vibe. The song basically just consists of a steel string guitar and some light percussive elements-- along with, of course, Cesar Alamagordo's singing about his sweet aimlessness ("no destination") in a sort of blissful Taoist reverence. The way "No Destination" is arranged feels a little messy, partly due to the back-porch guitar and partly due to the loosely doubled lyrics, but it ultimately works to the theme of the song well (notice that Alamagordo hails from Georgia, the ultimate state to kick back in and enjoy the day).

"No Destination" would be an excellent theme song for

a summer sunset

I would add "No Destination" to a playlist called

porch music
