This song sounds a little bit like what Paul McCartney might have written if he had been born a couple decades later and started a garage band in high school. "Back Stretch" is very nicely done; a poetic and sweetly introspective ballad with a nice, patient beat and a tremendous amount of power coming from its distorted guitar solos, organ and keys. The instruments don't always stay 100% on the beat, which can probably be quickly fixed with just a little bit more practice. The important thing is, the sound of "Back Stretch" feels distinctly original while never actually alienating itself from its rock n roll roots. This is the kind of song that makes you want to put your arms around your mates, sway to the beat, and say cheesy stuff to the gal you love.

"back stretch" would be an excellent theme song for

A late-night wedding band

"back stretch" is reminiscent of well-known artists such as

Paul McCartney
