Southern Grunge
"In a scene where we are already dead, can't you see that we are sleeping threats," starts the lyrics of "Where We Left Off," a short grunge-rock track that seems to borrow stylistically from Nirvana and thematically from the Matrix (unless I'm interpreting that wrong). The singer's voice channels Cobain's, a drawling tenor backed by low harmonies and the distorted whine of guitar. The song seems to be about disassociation and decay, and uses the metaphor of sleep heavily.
