A review of "Told Ya" by E Wynn

E Wynn might have more style in his pinkie finger than most rappers have in their whole bodies. His track, "Told Ya," starts with a long sound bite from an old zoot suit vinyl, before whipping into slow, laid-back braggadocio that suggests wit and an unbeatable sense of humor. It's not that his rhymes lie much outside the box, or that he's doing much to break the standard mold of the hip hop boast. But this song instantly catches fire in the way Wynn stays constantly both on and behind the beat, riding up and down its swell like a surfer, perfectly and masterfully at home there. His beat is funky and goofy, and fits his persona wonderfully.

I would add "Told Ya" to a playlist called
