Simple Blues, to keep from being Blue
Shira Notes has a soulful, bluesy voice (no pun intended) that does a nice job at carrying this simple song, defying the manipulative and toxic energy of a lover or friend. The instrumentation is nothing but guitar, drums, and a little piano, which are ultimately quite nice in their minimalism, though could possibly afford to be dialed in just a bit more (the rhythm sometimes stumbles just a little bit), but Shira Notes has a lot of great potential to rock some sultry shows at late-night blues bars.
