The prosaically named Joe Bluesman does not fail to disappoint in "Ole Black Cat," a blues song about an old black cat. It's really that simple; repeated 12-bars of electric guitar with a barroom talkin' blues style narrative on top. Minimal as it is, there's something irresistibly charming about Bluesman's voice and his old-fashioned lyrics, which border at times on the psychedelic, the lewd, and the absurd throughout the song.
"ole black cat" would be an excellent theme song for Fishing
I would add "ole black cat" to a playlist called Blues Straight, No Chaser
