Elements of modern jam bands percolate through Dr. Fuzz’s song, “The Deluge,” a song about heartbreak, regret, and looking back on love. As is typical of jam bands, the song sounds like it might be stronger live than in recorded form, but the band members certainly know their way around their instruments and their harmonies. Between guitar, bass, and funky high-energy drums, the lyrics are cleverly woven by the high voices of the band's vocalists. Boston-based Dr. Fuzz is comprised of Kris O’Brien (Vocals/Bass/Piano), Steve Shannon (Lead Guitar), Corey Arenz (Rhythm Guitar), Mike Tomkinson (Drums) and Derrick Cabral (Percussion). "All stemming from a company-sponsored talent show in 2013; Boston-based five-piece Dr. Fuzz couldn’t stop their creativity once they got to collaborate for the very first time. Pulling from an extremely-talented pool of co-workers, the core group of musicians in Dr. Fuzz suddenly found themselves punching out for the day and plugging into their amplifiers to create an eclectic brand of unique rock’n’roll they could call their own and truly love to play."
