I didn’t expect to enjoy the feminist-country rock ballad “Girls Rule,” but Siana King manages to pack a pretty big sound into it, with thumping drums and power-ballad guitar. The song starts by talking about the boys, and how they grow up to be told they "gotta be strong, gotta be tough. How they are taught to rule everything around them. But they're mistaken. King of the Hill, King of the Jungle Head of the house, king of the castle They make think they still run the world, but who are they trying to fool? Girls rule.

"Girls Rule" would be an excellent theme song for

A gym workout

I would add "Girls Rule" to a playlist called

Chick power

The most impressive instrumental/vocal performance in this recording is

Siana King's vocals

"Girls Rule" is reminiscent of well-known artists such as

Shania Twain
