Wow. Cleveland's mysterious Blue Bullets have shot this critic through the heart with “One of a Kind,” a stunning electro-pop sonnet reminiscent of CHVRCHES, with a perfect blend of female vocals, symphonic ambient synthesizer, and tight, housey dance beats. The rhythms are complex and intellectually engaging without being alienating, pulsing in curious ways against the 4/4 beat. The lead vocalist sings encouraging lyrics of self-love and believing in yourself, with promises of sparkling futures to come. This little track could successfully rock any club in the world. The funny thing is, is that I can't seem to find any trace of these songwriters on the internet. Wherever they are, I hope they continue to keep producing dance tracks... and maybe get a Soundcloud up that I can follow! ;)
