Nashville TN's Waymires have a firm footing in the Post-Punk Revival of the 21st century (sometimes called the Garage Rock Revival), characterized by homemade, blown-out sounds and aggressive lyrics, and harkening back to the DIY garage rock of the mid 1960s. Despite its rougher influences, "Brokenhearted" is brilliantly written and perfectly recorded, and could comfortably find a home in indie radio. You can tell that this is a band that lives (and loves) to play together, and knows how to work a crowd.
