Music for Cowboys, Doing Cowboy Stuff
M Lee Riley channels a little bit of the legendary Spaghetti Western composer Ennio Morricone in his song "Musica Tranquila Espanol," an instrumental and extremely cinematic piece that instantly conjures up thoughts of the Wild West. I don't know if Riley is currently writing musical scores for film, but if not, he should be. He has a natural skill in composition and symphonic instrumentation. I can tell that "Musica" was not, perhaps, made with the MOST expensive composing software-- as the samples occasionally sound a little flat or canned. However, this can easily be fixed with more time and additional resources. The important thing is having the talent and the knack for creating rich, full soundtracks, and Riley is doing just fine in this regard.
