The Michelle Rocking Horse Band is a playful, quirky, and catchy band from Nashville, TN, with a sound they describe as “original rock, country, and R&B”-- though to me they almost sound like certain modern jam bands. Their lyrics are a bit psychedelic, sung (or talk-sung) in a high voice about a variety of topics over the roughly five minutes of “Crisis on the Shore,” in the light style of Trey Anastasio or Michael Kang. Occasionally, the funky, easy-listening melodies are accompanied by some fun cameos, from cowbell to party whistle. The musicians know how to rock out together, and they mesh well.

"Crisis on the Shore" would be an excellent theme song for

A summer beer festival

I would add "Crisis on the Shore" to a playlist called

Jelly and Jam

The most impressive instrumental/vocal performance in this recording is

Cowbell.
