“Affirmative Blues” is a well-crafted easy-listening song. Jazzy, soulful, and quite catchy, it has (of all things) what sounds like a South American flute as the lead instrument over the familiar blues guitar, thumpy bass, and soft drumset (using brushes) of a jazz combo. An electric guitar takes the middle solo, but then the flute (or panpipes, I’m honestly not sure) returns for the final lead. This might not exactly be rock n' roll, but Marty J Balash knows how to design nice, clean blues that everyone can enjoy.

"Affirmative Blues" would be an excellent theme song for

"Affirmative Blues" will be stuck in my head because

Catchy chords to get your toes tapping

I would add "Affirmative Blues" to a playlist called
