Most people would probably give a wide berth to a song called "Hookers and Blow," but this track by Garage Boys is actually a really nice jam-band joint with a little reggae/island influence and a catchy hook. The lyrics seem to be about staying up late and doing drugs, as well as just a general narrative about the midlevel rockstar life. The main singer has a great voice, bringing to mind a few different 90s front men from pop rock and jam bands, especially the kind picked up by the skater counter-culture. "Hookers and blow, it's all I wanna know, it never seems to get old," echoes the refrain a few times near the end, climaxing in some power chords and a crashing finale. Not a bad track at all.

"Hookers and Blow" would be an excellent theme song for
