This slow, easy-going island jam seems to add a little of the Rhythm & Blues vibe to a classic Reggae feel. Richie Phillips has a warm, rich voice, with some excellent female backup singers behind him and a tight, dubby accompaniment which employs drums, keys, brass, guitar, and bass. This is a sound that can be enjoyed by almost everyone on the planet, which is why Reggae, I think, is such a successful genre. I could see "Talk About Love" being a great choice for a wedding DJ to carry the guests over into the slower, final part of the night, when smiles come out and lights go down.

"Talk About Love" would be an excellent theme song for

sunset on the beach

I would add "Talk About Love" to a playlist called

Relax! Life is good.

"Talk About Love" is reminiscent of well-known artists such as

Ziggy Marley
