Lyrical Genius has teamed up with J. Carson on his track "Level," which has the simple goal of elevating the party. "Let's have fun tonight, let's get wasted/ we're already halfway there. You better get on my level..." Normally, I'd be pretty disinterested in the ignorant and self-entitled mindlessness of such a song, but something about the f*cked up, drunken lilt of this track's production makes me kind of dig it. The two do a killer job at creating sonic disorientation, using relentless 808 drums and heavily effected synth samples that leave listeners feeling far from sober. I bet these guys throw a dope party.
