House Beats and Jilted Love
Katharina Livia Harer sings a soulful track to a lover over a funky, traditional House beat in "Waiting for Lifetimes," a well-composed song that makes a nice background soundtrack for any active day around the house. While the production doesn't necessarily stand out, it gets the job done perfectly and maintains good clean energy from beginning to end. Harer's vocals are well employed with about 90% tonal accuracy; my only desires might be to mix them down slightly so that they blend better with the rest of the song, to put a few effects on them, and to clean up the occasional off-pitch note here or there. But it's a nice original sound for a modern electro-pop audience and I was more than happy to discover it today. "I've got no time to waste on you. Who do you think you are?"
