"I don't write raps, I write real movies" begins the clever and gritty joint "BreakThru," a hip-hop track written by Beverly Hills, CA's Shawn White, aka Kasasosay. The beat features a psychedelic and experimental synth run on repeat that could have been written by James Blake, and the anti-celebrity, hardboiled rhymes are skillfully composed and deftly employed. "I need a big coat, cause I'm just too cold/ Let me show you the ropes, this is all now/ fuck the fame, nigga, just give me the money/ and some more bars, and watch me break thru."
