Wilmington DE's Billy Toulson, aka Sun Brother, is a one-man musical machine, appearing to lack nothing in either composition, instrumentation, sound design, or lyrical ability. The gently plunking guitar lines, keys, and drums of "Renegades" in 4/4 time remind me of the feel-good sounds of Vampire Weekend, mixed with a little Grizzly Bear maybe. His website declares he started playing in 2010, and is filled with countless other great examples of his songwriting capabilities. "Renegades" is a high-spirited little number perfect to listen to while wind is rushing past you, or sun is shining on you, or both. Wherever you may be, Sun Brother is sure to put a smile on your face.

"Renegades" would be an excellent theme song for

Driving up the California Coast

"Renegades" is reminiscent of well-known artists such as
