California's humorously named "DJ Rockstar" turns up the happy juices with "New Day," a fun, lighthearted House track combining possible Tropical and 8-bit influences to give you a great start to your morning. "Welcome to a new day" repeats the only vocal sample of the song, conjuring up images of sunshine, orange juice, and fresh coffee. The track takes a slightly odd turn when it builds up about a third of the way in, then drops, switching gears completely from Bit-Pop to an aggressive Festival Trap (or Stadium Trap) face melter. I'm not sure the track really needs it, and it takes an otherwise happy song and gives it a dark, nighttime edge that seems to stand in contrast to the song title. But whatever. I guess if the ravers are properly spun, they probably won't notice the switch.
"New Day" would be an excellent theme song for Getting out of bed in the morning
"New Day" will be stuck in my head because It's super catchy pop beat
"New Day" is reminiscent of well-known artists such as Freezepop
