"Face It" has a nice, poppy, R n B simplicity to it that is pleasantly infectious. Portland OR's "Brucee" has a smooth voice and harmonizes with himself well against a slappy bass, automated light drum tracks, and cocktail of synth and melody samples. The song is about facing fears, and brings some of the sounds of James Brown and George Clinton into a more modern market. The song's mastering could probably be expanded for a broader degree of texture and subtlety, but for a simple starter track, "Face It" gets the job done.

"Face It" would be an excellent theme song for

A pool party

I would add "Face It" to a playlist called

Summer Grooves

"Face It" is reminiscent of well-known artists such as

James Brown
