"I C Y C O L D" actually has some real talent behind its epic, swelling, darkly cinematic trap production, and ZEYEZ hardcore rhymes (while filled with the familiar misogyny and violence of street machismo) are actually a good match for the beat and carry a nice level of energy behind them. Unfortunately, any power ZEYEZ might wield in his music is severely undermined by the extremely low quality of the production. which sounds about the same as somebody holding an iPhone up to the speaker at a hiphop show and then uploading it to YouTube. Lo-fi is a legitimate style artfully used in singer-songwriter and indie music in the last twenty years, but it doesn't work for stadium trap. When ZEYEZ gets that figured out, I'm happy to give him another listen.
