A high male wail with plenty of reverb is backed by some pounding tomtoms and guitar in "Let the music be alive," giving this song a sound I remember hearing a lot in the late oughts (2005-2010 or so) from indie rockers like Band of Horses, Kings of Leon, Cold War Kids, etc. The song clocks in just over two minutes, leaving me feeling a bit disappointed; this is the kind of sound I could really get into, with the possibility for epic builds and breaks. I'm eager to check out more from Seattle's Wes Speight (aka, WES SP8).

"Let the music be alive" is reminiscent of well-known artists such as

Band of Horses, Kings of Leon
