Country/Western music isn’t my forte, but I absolutely love what Jumpin Kate has done in “All in All,” a little ditty about looking back on life with a honky-tonk feel. Kate offers surprisingly insightful lyrics in this song, encouraging listeners to reflect on their pasts, and to consider if their lives have truly led them to where they want to be, by accessing the memories of different landmarks (ten years old, sixteen years old, six, three, etc.) Her refrain, “carry on now you’re the sole survivor, its been you here all along,” suggests that we have to clear away the hazy routine of our lives, and remember that this is it, this is the only life we’ve got, and we’re not getting any younger. Now is the best time ever to seize the moment.

"All in All" would be an excellent theme song for

"All in All" will be stuck in my head because

I would add "All in All" to a playlist called
