What was so special about the blue fruit snacks? Apparently a band out of St. Louis, MO, has an opinion. As self proclaimed "Island Rock," their acoustic song "Skinny Corn" is a beautifully introspective song, filled with equal parts warmth and grit. Lead vocalist and guitarist Ahna Schoenhoff's raspy, soulful voice has been compared to both Janis Joplin and Robert Plant, and the other two band members add just the right touch of percussion and bass to result in a wonderfully intimate and authentic bluesy sound.
