"Vampire Bite", by Icy the Hit Maker, channels early George Clinton with a fat retro bass beat, 80s synth, and poppy, funky drums. The song, however, turns to B-movies for inspiration, telling a faux-horror story about vampire sex that almost reminds me of an undead version of "Love Potion #9". The production is fully realized and fun, complete with spooky audio samples and entertaining breaks. I can't write this review without at least giving a small mention to Thriller, who obviously had some influence on this song. I don't know if Icy made a Top 40 hit here, but I'd at least love to see the music video when it comes out.

"Vampire Bite" is reminiscent of well-known artists such as

George Clinton, P-Funk
