"The world is waking up," opens this lyric-driven, provocative hip-hop/spoken word piece. The production is minimal, which is fine, since anything more would detract from Herb & Spice's rapid fire rhymes-- rhymes about politics, philosophy, liberation, and hip-hop. They use the word "abstract" several times (I heard at least four), and seem to be at home inhabiting a sort of street poeticism, with plenty of beauty lying underneath Herb & Spice's tough, battle-hardened verses.
