"Big Tall Man" is a charming ballad about the life of a man striving to be as tall as his father, not realizing until old age that his father actually urged his son to be big on the inside, not the outside. It's a cute story, some sort of stylistic mix of Pete Seeger and Jonny Cash, with an appropriate bit of humor and a nice, upbeat tempo. The song has a couple good steel string solos to boot. If you like old folk ballads, this one will make you happy.
