Something about MidRush is putting a smile on my face. I think it's because that I'm always turned off when hiphop takes itself too seriously (misogyny and homophobia mixed with sincere intensity is a quick way to get me to change the song), but MidRush's swooping, energetic, slow lyrics have a little bit of a playful quality to them. I compared him to Ludacris. He seems like a guy that'd be fun to party with and also have the occasional intellectual addition to any conversation.

"hidden track" is reminiscent of well-known artists such as

Ludacris
