"Tangerine" has no words, only a technical array of jazzy instrumentation, joining together to create a funky, retro beat. The instruments take some impressive solos, and the song maintains a nice, laid-back energy from beginning to end, with a fat bass guitar filling in the occasional riff here and there, and some symphonic synthesizer sculpting a rich backdrop. "Tangerine" would make great background music in any swanky hotel lobby.
