New Jersey's Crunch has popped out a new twerk track called, unimaginatively, "Go Ahead and Shake It Girl." The song follows all the typical formulae of Southern bounce music, but its fun comes from its fat distorted bass line that feels like a bit of a hip-hop throwback inside a modern 808 drumbeat. Crunch has a nice, easy-going voice, which keeps the sex-drenched lyrics from feeling too aggressive or misogynistic. This song might not change your life, but its a fun track to get down to on a Friday night. "You know I love it when you hit the floor and pick it up/ sorry, made a mess, you can lick it up/ take it ol' school, girl, do the give it up."
"GO AHEAD AND SHAKE IT GIRL" is reminiscent of well-known artists such as Afroman
When listening to "GO AHEAD AND SHAKE IT GIRL" I am transported to A New Orleans club
