The minute “Wrapped in Chains” comes on you know you are in for a treat, that is if you're a rock fan, specifically that of the late 90s and today's rock scene. The Observer while sounding like a fully backed band is actually just one person, David, who isn't afraid to show how skilled he is when it comes to composing and recording his own music. If you had to compare The Observer to some notable bands it would be an infusion of Tool, A Perfect Circle, Deaftones and Seether. “Wrapped in Chains” isn't a song to rock out to in the sense that it isn't one of those heavy hitting rock songs. David takes his time with the delivery of his vocals making sure that you're able to digest everything. When it comes to the lyrics some might find it dark but when you really take a listen it isn't dark at all especially when you break down everything. In fact “Wrapped in Chains” has lyrics that you might expect to hear from Maynard James Keenan. All in all, The Observer has made a nice track that is deserving of a listen or two.
