TeeJay has that old school flow and it's definitely refreshing when everyone is sounding like the last guy who just popped out of Toronto. With confidence and a swag that probably would be hard to replicate TeeJay lets loose spitting bars with wordplay that will have you needing to hit rewind ASAP. There's a Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Kendrick Lamar and Big Boi type of feel from TeeJay but it's obvious he is here to do his own thing and excels without a problem. TeeJay is the type of rapper you would be happy to see on XXL Freshman list. It's obvious he'd be able to kill a cypher if given the chance. The beat is on par with TeeJay and sounds like something you'd hear on a Kendrick Lamar album. With the title “Weed and Bitchez” it's obvious what the topic of the song is about so if you're one to complain about supposed misogynist lyrics it's best you stay away because as TeeJay says all he needs is “weed and bitchez”. This is a song for true hip-hop fans only.
