Shawn Wright and the Tribe just sounds like a cool name and not surprisingly “Outlaw” is a song that is bad as in “bad to the bone”. There's a devil may care attitude permeating off the track but it could be that Shawn and the Tribe realize just how good they are and no one else can tell them otherwise. You get a mix of good ol' rock-n-roll mixed with some blues thanks to the nice organ playing. “Outlaw” is pure Western badassery that it would be no surprise if you ever heard this in a Quentin Tarantino film, granted someone would need to sleep this track into his playlist first. There is honestly nothing to hate with this track. Wright has a guttural, raw voice that does wonders for the song and the Tribe, they back him perfectly without ever dropping the ball. If you need a song that gets you pumped up or just want something to help you imagine that you yourself are a badass outlaw like Mr. Wright and his band then this is probably for you.
