Don't let the name keep you away from “The Resistance”. Verbal Terrorist is more of a description of rapper Ian James Micciulli's sound. He is of the hardcore rap variety, the type who are probably more likely to gain notoriety in the underground rap scene opposed to mainstream radio. Verbal Terrorist has a lot of similarities to rappers like Tech N9ne, Rittz and Hopsin but with a different agenda. Verbal Terrorist tackles political topics here in “The Resistance” like he does in his other tracks. At first you might think that Verbal Terrorist is speaking German as he channels Rammstein but he is indeed speaking English. His delivery is gruff but it works perfectly considering his political inclination and passion for his craft. “The Resistance” is definitely a song that would do well in a film with a political story and considering what is going on in the world today “The Resistance” does play well with those encouraging others to resist and persist.
