You know those songs that come on and automatically have you smiling and clapping your hands? Well that's what you get with “Down That Road”. This Southern Americana gem is a surprising piece if simply because Kay & the Miracle Cure are from Cato, NY going to show once more that New York is just bursting with different sounds along with its diverse population. If you had to liken Kay & the Miracle Cure to more known artist then think of a mashup of singers Martina McBride, Rosanne Cash and Pam Tills. “Down That Road” is definitely a toe tapper. It's one of those songs that would make the perfect backdrop in a film for an atypical femme fatale who doesn't take crap from anyone and wears a pair of dusty boots that somehow remain fashionably reasonable. From a strong and compelling vocal performance to nice acoustic guitar strumming,“Down That Road” is a nice Americana hit that you will want to have on repeat.
