“Summertime of Love” sounds like a journey through the open roads as you steer between the winding rocky mountains and pass by the blue grass plains with your windows down in this slow little number from Bruce Allmon. There is something Johnny Cash meets Bruce Springsteen meets Stevie Ray Vaughn about Allmon's voice that makes for easy listening. The song is simple, “Summertime of Love” takes you down memory lane or specifically Allmon's who seems to recall the moments with fondness. Don't expect a song with studio type quality going on here, instead be ready for what is more of a one on one type session, think small coffee shop Sunday afternoon performance. For those who enjoy soft rock that has a light country and soul flare to it, you will want to take a second out of your day to give this one a listen.
