Reason One's track “Shot A Hole In My Heart” sounds like something that you might hear from Aerosmith but this isn't some rock ballad or at least not in the conventional sense if you were to compare it to anything belted out by Steven Tyler or Axl Rose. It is a song about feelings though, particularly those in the romantic field. The lyrics easily paint a picture of a once happy relationship that is now barely burning embers, no fault of the singer's. In fact if one were to give it some thought, “Shot A Hole In My Heart” is sort of reminiscent to Poison's “Every Rose Has Its Thorns”. Reason One while sounding like some classic rock goodness in this particular track could be likened to more modern bands like Creed as far as musical composition goes. This Wisconsin band clearly has the musical chops to garner a following and the potential of making it to the radio. If you like your rock music a little slowed down then you'll probably enjoy Reason One.
