Snares for Foxes
Warning, snares are aplenty in this piece and it's pretty addictive. Out of the gate d minus gives off that 80s, alternative rock feel and if you turn your head the right way and close your eyes there's a slight glimmer of Depeche Mode. The lyrics paint a picture without much effort giving way to fox tendencies along with some moody inclusions that are relatable on those lonely afternoons. If there is one thing this track does right it's timing. The lyrics are delivered with confidence and the chords are hit with authority. The lyrics that are there are comfortably padded by clean instrumentals but it isn't until the last forty seconds that d minus comes out swinging with loud vocals, guitars and drums. The climatic build up is like the lead in to that one dramatic scene in your favorite thriller right before the credits hit.
