Slutrag, It Speaks for Itself

Don't let the name scare you away because Slutrag is something to behold. With a beginning that might make you automatically think of a handful of Rob Zombie songs, “Fallen” sets you up to be snatched up by the tendrils shooting out of your speakers. Slutrag is unforgiving on both guitar bass and drums, destroying as they go because clearly that's what they are good at doing. The band dips their toes in several of the sub genres of rock, particularly metal, but seem to own “sleaze rock” which seems to properly categorize their type of music. Frontman Blast Famous works through “Fallen” as if that's what he was born to do which gives the track even more energy as if it needed anymore. Slutrag may be in a league of their own but if you need help describing them to your friends who you'll probably be trying to convert to Slutrag listeners than a hybrid of Motley Crue, Papa Roach, The Pretty Reckless, Judas Priest and Slayer are probably some good bands to throw out there for starters. No matter how you slice it Slutrag is a nice addition to SongLadder just like their inclusion of audio from The Boondock Saints.
