New York Punk That Makes Sense

There isn't much out there about the New York band Detonator which is a bit disappointing as they seem to be packing a huge punch in their track “IT” which doesn't seem to have anything to do with the clown of the same name. Instead the lyrics seem to be directed towards a relationship and feelings of being fed up with everything going on. There's an aggressiveness in the track especially with lead singer Mark Oswald's belting of the lyrics. It's the delivery along with the guitar, bass and drums that gives “IT” that punk rock feel though it seems to do a tightrope act between punk and alternative. No matter the exact genre label of the band “IT” is a good track that those who are fans of bands like The Offspring and blink-182 might want to give this band a quick listen.
