Orbiting Blue is what you expect to get if you have ever wondered what Tool would sound like if Maynard James Keenan was a woman instead. “Crimes and Killers” sounds like one of the titles that you would likely find on Tool's or even A Perfect Circle's track listing. While Orbiting Blue does have Tool qualities they are also dabbling in other sounds too as they seem to be floating somewhere in the alternative rock category. The female vocalist has a voice that commands attention and one that you can compare to Beth Orton meets Florence Welch meets Shara Worden. “Crimes and Killers” is a great track that packs heavy sounds that are truly original. The part of climax in the song trudges up imagery of the dramatic scene in a thriller making Orbiting Blue stand out with an overall solidly produced track.
