King Tuesday Hits the Ground Running

King Tuesday may have derived their name from the Mr. Rogers' character but there is nothing bright, colorful or cartoony about them. King Tuesday sounds like they jumped right of the mid 90s and early 2000's rock scene making for what can be considered a fusion of bands like Everclear, Everlast, Papa Roach and 311 just to name a few. King Tuesday is somewhere along the lines of both alternative and aggressive rock for a nice result. The way the song goes from heavy delivered verses much like you'd get in a Trapt or Papa Roach song to a then female lead chorus that might remind some of Guano Apes, keeps the song from ever toeing the line of repetitive. “Grounded” for all its seeming aggression is a truly positive song once you listen to the lyrics. Plus it doesn't hurt that it sounds like a song that one day will find its way on a soundtrack for some comic book adaptation film. Make sure to give this one a listen.
