Mulatto Patriot is one of those artists who should already be getting play on Music Choice and even the radio during one of those “keep it or toss it” moments. “Hot Day” is just one of those tracks that have a specific sound that you don't mind hearing over and over again. Patriot's skills as a producer, DJ and musical engineer really shine through like on his other works including the “Gold Chain Mulatto Patriot Mix” and “Ginsu Knives”. Simeon Viltz of The Primeridian nearly steals the show as the lyricist while he paints a picture of a hot day in Chicago. Those who are familiar with the Chicago hip-hop and rap scene will be treated to a different feel but there's nothing wrong with that.
