Weary Old Soul hails from Indianapolis, Indiana or Austin, Texas, depending on which site you look at for reference, with a track that sounds a lot like something put together by Nine Inch Nails. You might notice that “When the Ride is Done” is categorized here at SongLadder as pop but the track is more experimental, alternative industrial rock with touches of techno underscoring a nicely produced beat. There's a dark underlying current to “When the Ride is Done” that you half expect it to be the feature track to a film featuring trippy, narcotic induced scenes as the main character falls down the proverbial rabbit hole. The Trent Reznor like quality to the song makes it a keeper that certainly has multiple replay value. “When the Ride is Done” is all in all an enjoyable ride that doesn't seem to have a flaw in sight.
