Never judge a band by their name or you might end up kicking yourself for mistaking a name like Downed Silence for some black metal band. Downed Silence has a Metallica type of instrumental production to them, think “Nothing Else Matters” and “Fade to Black” but with vocals that are closer to Foreigner and Styx front men Lou Gramm and Dennis DeYoung. “Day by Day” has that type of sound to it and deliverance that you wouldn't be surprised to hear in a movie like Top Gun opposite of Berlin. If you are a fan of more mellowed rock tunes that have that old 1970 feel then you will probably find yourself doing a slow rock back and forth to Downed Silence's “Day by Day”. For more tracks by Downed Silence to wave your lighters to you might want to check out their Soundcloud here https://soundcloud.com/downed-silence.
