Daniel John's “Smile” is that of the great 1960s rock variety. In fact it sounds like something that you could have easily heard back then especially considering that “Smile” has similar qualities to it much like The Guess Who's “American Woman”. In fact if you enjoy music from James Gang and Free then you will more than likely enjoy Daniel John. “Smile” has a warm quality to it but it could also help how John says the word that brings a smile to your own face. The lyrics are fun though it might take you a few listens to actually get them all down but it's probably worth it. The track is composed of your expected host of instruments like guitar, bass and drums which help flesh out the track including the mini guitar solo. If you have found yourself having a bad day and need yourself a pick me up then “Smile” is definitely the track for you to help turn that frown upside down.
