Virginia Dupew's “Victim No More” begins with a heavy atmosphere of darkness and foreboding that will have you thinking that you have just popped in the soundtrack to Underworld but if you actually take a listen the song it isn't as dark as the beginning would have you believe. There is a very Within Temptation type of quality to “Victim No More” while Dupew's own voice is closer to Sarah Bettens than Sharon den Adel. “Victim No More” is a moving song that encourages the embrace of unity as human beings and removing the blinders that often hinders progress. While the track may not be everyone's cup of tea it is one that deserves at least one play through. There is a hypnotic and ephemeral feel to “Victim No More” that is almost spiritual. You might just find yourself feeling enlightened after a play through.
