Move over U.S. rock bands and artists because Canadian newcomer Pope Profit is thrashing his way into SongLadder with no holds barred and ready for battle. “Battle Mode” is a pleasurable experience especially if you are a true rock fan. Automatically you know you're in for a great time once the music hits. Pope Profit is like an amalgamation of Motorhead. Metallica and Slayer while vocally leaning towards that of the quality of James Hetfield. No need to fear though, Pope Profit is no clone. He's pure originality and the little addition of the computer dialogue is a nice touch along with the synth sounds. “Battle Mode” is the type of song that automatically gets you pumped up without even trying real hard to do so, making one imagine what type of atmosphere would be in store for them if they ever attended a Pope Profit show. From lyrics to crazy guitar shredding skills “Battle Mode” is one monster of a song that deserves at least a handful of listens.
